Bear Butte Trees and Custom Moving LLC, was established in 1999 for the purpose of planting mature trees suitable to the area. We have hundreds of large mature trees to choose from. Our 20 acre tree farm is located 1.3 miles north of Hwy 34 and Junction 79 east of Sturgis, SD. Trees available from our tree farm to be moved with the tree spade are listed below. The advantage of the tree spade is that the tree will have a more established root system as it has been previously transplanted and has been growing in the tree farm for 2 - 5 years, this will result in a larger tree sooner.
Bear Butte Trees is certified and licensed by the SD Dept of Agriculture. Trees are important for many reasons. Trees mean natural beauty, cool shade, provide habitat for wildlife and brightly colored leaves in fall. Trees clean the air, conserve topsoil and protect our water supplies. They help slow climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide. They cool our neighborhoods and shelter our homes so we lose less energy. They add value to our homes and to our lives.
